1. Why should I start a business in Bulgaria?

Bulgaria offers low corporate taxes (10%), low labor costs, EU membership and a business-friendly environment – ideal for founders.

2. What types of companies are most common in Bulgaria?

The most common form is the OOD (similar to the German GmbH). For individuals, the EOOD (single person limited liability company) is most common. Both are quick and inexpensive to set up.

3. Do I have to live in Bulgaria to start a company?

No. A Bulgarian address or a local director can be helpful but are not strictly required. Many entrepreneurs continue to live abroad (e.g., in Germany)

4. How long does it take to set up a company?

Usually around 2-4 weeks – including the notary appointment, registration in the commercial register, and opening a business bank account.

5. Do you also offer tax advisory support?

Yes! We work with experienced tax advisors in Bulgaria and assist you with all tax-related questions.

6. What documents do I need to start a company?

A valid ID card or passport, a description of your business purpose, and the company name. A company address is helpful but if you have none, we assist you in this step. For the company formation we guide you through every step.
